Kinkeel won a handicap chase at Hereford off a mark of just 66 in January but has struggled off higher marks since then and is likely to do so again here despite there only being four runners and it is impossible to get away from GOLD GUN, who gets the vote ahead of Run of Kings. The last mentioned showed ability over hurdles and has won point-to-points but he was well held on his only start over regulation fences when pulled up here in January and looks booked for a place at best. Caroline Keevil's Dizzy Future is another that has been running in points but was also pulled up on his latest start under rules, over hurdles at Ludlow and it will be a surprise if this does not go to Gold Gun. Alison Thorpe's gelding has not won for some time and has been punished for his consistency by the handicapper but the seven-year-old has shown some decent form over hurdles and the switch to chasing may well bring about a change in fortune.
