Verdict

Dual bumper winner SHUIL ROYALE got off the mark over hurdles at Kempton in March, despite showing signs of inexperience. He could be one to follow over the coming months and could outclass these. Hes Our Lad won over 2m3f here in March and has gone close on a couple of occasions since. He does tend to make mistakes when under pressure, however, and that could cost him again here. Johns Spirit and Dirty Bertie are both bumper winners but the former was a little disappointing on his hurdles bow at Worcester and may find this track too sharp. Mwaleshi has been absent for a while but still looks best of the rest.
