Verdict

As is often the case with these small field contests this has a trappy look to it, but Tamango is offered up as the selection to beat Urban and Mange Tout. A form line with Oniz Tiptoes, who beat Tamango before losing to Urban, gives Philip Hobbs-trained Tamango the edge at these weights. The gelding has a good ground c&d success to his name to boot, and this looks less arduous than his last task to he gets the nod. Urban was a shady lucky to win last time, looking up against it when left in the lead and it should pay not to get too carried away with that run, though a feather weight here should see the gelding thereabouts. Mange Tout won here on fast ground in the summer and followed up on heavy at Uttoxeter and was when held when falling behind Tamango at Bangor on his next outing. He looks to be in the grip of the handicapper right now, as does Newton Abbot winner Kings Brook, and Tamango can get the better of all of them.
