Verdict

On Alberts Head still has enough on his plate after failing to follow up a Huntingdon success when well beaten last time. He's asked to concede weight all round against a field of admittedly out-of-form sorts but a chance is taken that MOUNT VESUVIUS is raring to go after an absence dating back to last October, which has to be a concern. However, he has his conditions and has dropped to a mark way below his career best. Minimum stakes are the advice. Faith Jicaro produced a useful effort when third at Newton Abbot last month after nine months off on her first run for Mark Brisbourne and she'll be a contender if able to build on that promising return. She also enjoys the better ground. Badgers Retreat seems on the decline having pulled up the last thrice but would not be without a chance if back to his form of last autumn.
