Verdict

Perspicace landed a couple of handicaps at Uttoxeter and Worcester before seemingly failing to act around Chester when transferred to the Flat for his latest assignment. He wouldn't be the first to be bamboozled by the Roodeye and reverts to timber with obvious claims. He's only a five-year-old and should have more to offer, but that may be the case even more so with BROTHERLY COMPANY(NAP). Harry Fry only has a handful of runners at this time of year but has kept this gelding on the go after scoring cosily at Kempton in early May. He's only had four starts over timber, looks on an attractive mark and his talented handler seems sure to generate more progress from his charge under what appear to be ideal conditions. Mighty Missile must be forgiven his latest run as it was totally untypical and the Greatrex inmate has decent claims on previous efforts. Closest Friend is another possible but greater dangers could come from the foot of the weights via recent scorer Deauville Dancer and the consistent Sir Dylan.
