Alan King’s gelding was beaten more than five lengths by the winner but is now 9lb better off and it will be disappointing if he can’t turn the tables. Imperial Presence looks held on the form book but Bbold looks a threat having got off the mark over fences over a bit further here last time when having plenty in hand. Darling Maltaix, on the other hand, is now 0-6 over the larger obstacles and continues to look a tricky ride.
