Verdict

Strictly on the official ratings, Mutarafaa has plenty in hand over his rivals, but he looked some way below his best in a first time visor at Wolverhampton last week. He had 10lbs and upwards in hand over the field that day (similar to today), but he looks to have gone the wrong way and needs treating with caution. Front-runner Night Shift Blue's is well drawn and should get his own way up front, which could make him difficult to peg back. He will find this company more to his liking, having taken on some useful sorts recently. Norma Macauley has her team in better order now and Dil is taken to give her another winner. Now eight, he clearly isn't as good as he was (won off a mark of 90 as a three-year-old), but he is still capable and this will be his first time back in this grade since winning a claimer back in April.
