In depth

Verdict

A poor maiden and Sintenis Mac is a tentative pick ahead of Irish Connection and Good Cause. The selection is exposed as ordinary although this race has plenty of deadwood that can be passed over. That said, his fourth behind Tubby Issacs received a tremendous filip when Perlachy obliged at Wolverhampton last week. Irish Connection stayed on eyecatchingly at Wolverhampton over five furlongs and might be better served by this slower surface. Good Cause isn't the most obvious dropper in trip but Sue Lamyman was keen to get Chris Catlin for the ride. Van Ruymbeke attempts to be reinvented as a sprinter. Cape Of Storms is 0 from 20 but this is such a bad race that he has to be factored. Sweet Seville has had a long absence from a high profile debut at Haydock. Miss Hoolie left Walter Swinburn following just one outing and showed little on debut for Bill Turner. Ex-Irish horse, Brunton, could be best of the rest. Sintenis Mac is the pick in a bad race.
