Verdict

Dual point-to-point winner Lemony Bay has run just one good race over hurdles and has otherwise disappointed. Monbeg Theatre made 60,000gns at the sales after his initial runs and repaid some of the outlay when landing a Market Rasen bumper so he's definitely one to note. A Good Skin landed a point-to-point in April and made an encouraging debut for new connections in a Worcester bumper but Be My Witness created a huge 50/1 shock when beating a long odds-on chance at Warwick and won't be handed an easy lead here. MCCABE CREEK made an encouraging debut in a Newbury bumper and was sent for a Grade 2 at Aintree on his next start but never showed. His pedigree is all about jumping and he can make a successful start. Official Ben cost J P McManus £120,000 after winning a point-to-point and shouldn't be long recouping some of the outlay.
