THAWRY relished the surface on last week’s Fibresand debut and trounced the opposition by over eight lengths. He’s due to be raised by a further 6lb after this so looks capable of defying today’s penalty. Mr Carbonator finished runner-up when last over track and trip back in February but Siyahamba was still beaten a long way when second over 2m here last time. Cheap Jack never figured on his only previous start here but Andrew Balding has a good strike rate at the track and Badessa could go well on her handicap debut.
