Verdict

Letham Island is preferred to Falcon's Fire and Little Eskimo. Letham Island ran much better than her finishing position on debut and while that was not a great contest by any stretch of the imagination, there was enough there to suggest that a win was not too far away from the offing. Falcon's Fire finished behind on that occasion and was giving 5lb away. The front-runner is not weighted to reverse here. Little Eskimo could be anything and the market is watched on a first time visit to the artificial surfaces. Fourth in a hot Newmarket maiden, this is a distinctly easier assignment on paper. Flying Grey did not get home over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton although the better form has obtained when asked to go on. Exit Strategy qualifies for handicaps and has been very easy to back in two previous starts. Sularno has beat very few home on two outings and would need to improve greatly in order to trouble the judge. Having considered the alternatives, Letham Island is the selection.
