In depth

Verdict

Naval Attache gets the call here ahead of Wodhill Be and Sam The Sorcerer. This is a poor, poor race in which the only one with any recent form to speak of is Naval Attache. Paul Blockley's gelding improved markedly to be a very close second when dropped to this level at Wolverhampton on what was only his fourth career outing, and it is not hard to envisage him cracking out and making all of the running here. He is fairly well bred, and has more scope than most of his rivals today put together. Wodhill Be finally opened her account at the age of five when successful over the course and distance in October, but has shown little since, while Sam The Sorcerer was expected to improve on this surface but has not. So, all in all, naval Attache looks the one to be on.
