Verdict

In what looks a pretty modest affair Dance Hall Diva can take the honours, Laconicos and Ellerslie Tom could provide most danger. Mark Usher's filly is very lightly raced having had just two runs on the flat before making a very promising hurdles debut. She started at 50/1 but belied those odds by finishing just eight lengths behind the smart Equilibria. With plenty of improvement expected she looks the one to be on here. Laconicos showed plenty of promise on his debut as well, he actually finished ahead of the selection in that course and distance event. However Dance Hall Diva has much more scope and is expected to reverse the form. Ellerslie Tom put in a terrific effort last time when fourth to The Pen in a decent race at Wetherby and has to be a major threat to all. Any money for the Bill Turner pair Jules Lee and Smokincanon would be significant, and Josear cannot be ruled out following some consistent efforts, but we expect Dance Hall Diva to do the business today.
