    Verdict

A very difficult finale where the hat-trick seeking Extemporise is only a tentative selection to carry top weight to victory - with Saros and Bronx Bomber others towards the head of the weights that have to be considered as live dangers. Whereas it would also be dangerous to rule out Tsarbuck, who is more effective at this trip and support for him will be interesting. Dasar makes the most appeal out of the rest and an each-way move for him would not be out of context with his recent efforts. However, nothing makes as much appeal as Extemporise when this season's form is taken into account and, with the trip sure to suit and a draw that is favourable, he has plenty in his favour to make his Southwell debut a winning one; especially when his solid relationship with his rider, Tom McLaughlin is factored in.
