In depth

Verdict

Yakimov, Royal Dignitary and Blue Empire are three against the field in this claimer and the vote is given to Yakimov. The selection has been in the form of his life of late and won well last time out when beating Little Jimbob, he remains on a fair mark and under conditions that suit he is taken to win again. Royal Dignitary rates the main danger on his latest second behind Dunushstorm but he had the run of the race on that occasion and it was disappointing that he did not win and he is opposed on that basis. Blue Empire won a seller in good style last time out when beating Shot To Fame but this looks tougher. Of the remainder Bodden Bay hails from a yard in form but his overall profile leaves him with a little to find and for the winner we return to Yakimov.
