In depth

Verdict

Heez A Steel, Twelve Paces and Bene Lad look the three to concentrate on in a competitive opener and the narrow vote is given to Twelve Paces. The selection was a fair third behind Just Amazing last time out, looks sure to improve for the step up in trip and under conditions that suit he looks the one to be on. Bene Lad rates the main danger as he won well last time out when beating Heez A Steel but that rival is better off at the weights here so he will need to improve to defy his penalty. Heez A Steel is sure to have his supporters as he is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Of the remainder, Crystal Runner has conditions to suit and could go well at a price but Twelve Paces looks sure to appreciate the step up in trip and looks the one to be on.
