Verdict

GARGANO can complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Charging Indian and General Tufto. Mark Johnston's 5-year-old has won two of his four starts on the all-weather, and it was a good effort to make all the running at Lingfield when he beat Red Hot Desert last month. He looks to be going the right way and with this slight drop in trip in his favour he can go in again. Charging Indian has won over the course and distance twice, most recently when he beat Bosamcliff here last week and on these terms there should be little between them again. General Tufto won here last time but that was over a mile and a combination of this longer trip and a 6lbs penalty could make him vulnerable today. Divinatore and Mullitovermaurice look to have a bit to find with the others to get competitive, and Gargano is taken to make it three wins on the bounce.
