        Verdict

        Plenty with a chance on recent form but it could pay to stick with MAJOR ROWAN. He finished with a late rattle to score over track and trip last time and is preferred to last year's winner General Tufto. The latter is 4lb higher today but Jonnie Skull is back on a winning mark and can go close. Irene Hull has a shout and so does Grey Destiny if taking to the surface, but Miami Gator is a rare winner nowadays and has yet to score on the Fibresand.
