In depth

Verdict

Victory Quest is always to be respected round here and comes into this having won his last two starts here in good fashion but a 6lb rise for the latest of them looks harsh and preference is for Clear Reef, who gets the vote over Sand Repeal. The last mentioned ran with credit here last month and would have claims if building further on that effort. Conclave is hard to recommend on recent form in Ireland, while Exit to Luck has given no real sign of encouragement in two recent starts. The vote then goes to Jane Chapple-Hyam's Clear Reef who was good value for his win here recently, should appreciate the slightly longer trip today and he is taken to defy the 4lb rise in the weights for that success.
