The veteran NORVILLE had been racing over further before dropping back to this trip at Down Royal and finishing runner-up to Jembatt. He would have finished closer but for trouble in-running and can gain compensation. Lake George scored over the course and distance a year ago and is on a lower mark so, if he's ready after a break, would have to be considered.
