In depth

Verdict

Ben Akram defied several mistakes to run his best race to date over fences behind Jim Tango at Kelso and today's longer trip will suit. Bocamix, three times a winning hurdler, didn't appear to get home over this track and trip a fortnight ago. Brieryhill Boy reappeared with a debut run over fences at Kelso where he ran well for a long way before weakening quickly. RATTLIN, who won twice over timber in the summer, makes her debut over fences and her pedigree suggests she will be well suited to the bigger obstacles so she can make a winning start. Cavite Eta gained a shock victory here last month and was attempting to concede 16lb to easy winner Surprise Vendor at Hexham so has to be considered.
