Verdict

This looks hugely competitive, but we'll side with SMART STREET to go one better than here two weeks ago, and he's preferred to White Lightening and Moon Melody. That runners-up spot was at this level, but he couldn't quite get home, so the step up in trip looks to be a positive. He's got first time blinkers to focus him a little more, and the previously used tongue strap is taken off. White Lightening is one from 11 over hurdles; the win came on his penultimate run in a seller, which was here over slightly shorter. That was followed up with a disappointing showing over the same trip, but he should be involved again in this sort of contest. Moon Melody is regularly placed, and can cope with different conditions and varying trips. He may be a better option to place though. Snow's Ride is off a much lower mark than when last winning more than 18 months ago, and he's the only one to have a course and distance victory to his name, but he's done little since. There's decent prize money, but it's not a great race, but Smart Street will carry our support.
