Verdict

There's not a huge amount of form to go on in this maiden but AILSA CARMEL looks set to make experience count and has a strong vote ahead of newcomer Emerald Girl and the solid Urban Clubber. The selection showed promise on debut before disappointing at Leicester next time up. That run was banished with a decent performance last time out when she was only caught late and she should fair better now stepped back down in trip. Emerald Girl hails from the in form Richard Fahey yard and is closely related to five two-year-old winners so is entitled to be successful as a juvenile especially for a stable going well with their youngsters this season. Urban Clubber stepped up on a promising debut to run a solid race in a conditions race last time suggesting he will win races while Clear Ice is a contender for some prize money after a solid debut. Most of these are given a chance at the places but Ailsa Carmel looks to set the standard.
