In depth

Verdict

The standard bumper rounds off proceedings, and there's little form to go on for the twelve who are set to face the starter, but of those who've run before, SAVEIRO makes slightly more appeal than Cunning Clarets, while Victoria State could be the pick of the newcomers. Saveiro is Alan Swinbank's only runner here, and won nicely last time out in a Catterick bumper, having previously been second. He looks the improving sort, and sets a decent standard. Cunning Clarets shaped nicely on debut to be second at Newcastle and looks to have this sort of contest with him. He's Richard Fahey's only runner here, and the only scheduled ride for Davy Condon. Victoria State could be absolutely anything from the McCain yard, but they're in form and know the time of day both here and with their bumpers. Any market support should be noted among the newcomers, but we'll side with experience and Saveiro.
