Snow's Ride can complete the hat-trick here at the main expense of Patavium and Circassian. The selection is a course and distance winner and there was plenty to like about the way he won at Kelso last time. Admittedly, he did get awarded the race in the stewards room after some of the runners took the wrong course but he still appears to be one step ahead of the handicapper. Patavium wasn't beaten far at Newcastle last time and if he can reproduce that run here then he will go close. However, he is not the most consistent and the percentage call is to take him on. Circassian is another that struggles for consistency but he ran well on his seasonal return last time when he looked like he would come on the for the run. With that outing under his belt he can give a good account of himself here. Aviation ran a sound race here last time and the step-up in trip should suit so he can go well, but Snow's Ride is in cracking form and he can win again.
