In depth

Verdict

A wide open handicap here and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Dicey Dancer, Esquillon and Adlestrop and the narrow vote is given to Dicey Dancer. The selection won well last time out when beating Monsieur Villez, he again has conditions to suit and he looks a value bet in an open affair. Adlestrop rates the main danger on his latest third behind Mickey Pearce however he looks vulnerable under top weight and he is taken on with this in mind. Esquillon is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind El Dee, that horse has since run well under a penalty and he has definite place claims. Stagecoach Amber is game and consistent and is sure to run his race and he could go well at a price with his yard in form. Of the remainder Pay On was a fair second behind Polyphon last time but he would not want the ground to dry out and for the winner we return to Dicey Dancer.
