Verdict

DOUBLE HIT looks the one to be on here, while Lets Go Girls and Alderbridge are others on the short list. The selection has plenty going for him here. He has the best form on offer in this field in running well to win and finish runner-up in his only two novices' hurdles so far. His win came on heavy ground, so that's another tick, and his latest effort proved that he has the stamina for this far. The yard continues in good nick and Double Hit is a confident choice. Lets Go Girls will also relish conditions and got home over course and distance last time. Her form thus far does not look to be as strong as the selection but she can get heavily involved. Alderbridge went well enough on his hurdling debut when 10 lengths adrift of Donald McCain's Fiendish Flame last time out and that give's the Chomondley-based trainer the best idea of how his runner will fare against Ferdy Murphy's charge. The ground will probably suit Graham Lee's mount, who can go well. Wheyaye won a bumper at the track last summer and acts with cut, but her hurdles form has not been strong enough to think she can win this. Mr Moonshine looks the pick of the debutants but we prefer the claims of Double Hit, who is a confident choice.
