Verdict

Woodwind Down is a modest hurdler but promises to be much better over the larger obstacles having made a winning start to his chasing career over this course and distance last month. Martin Todhunter's charge had Sorrento King behind in third, beaten 14 lengths, and when scoring with plenty to spare and is the TEAMtalk selection to confirm the placings under a 7lb penalty. Mumaris has failed to add to his narrow success in a Newcastle novice in April and is likely to struggle on these terms with the selection.
