        Verdict

        Feathered came up short at Belmont racing in Grade 1 company for the first time but stablemate ANGELA RENEE made no mistake when landing the Chandelier Stakes over track and trip in September. Todd Pletcher's charge beat both Conquest Eclipse and Danette on that occasion and is better drawn than today's main rival By The Moon. The latter has already beaten both of the Pletcher fillies but will need to stalk the pace from a wide position or be held up for a late run in this. Wonder Gal may prove better suited closing from off the pace and Top Decile did just that when runner-up in a Grade 1 at Keeneland last time. Bill Mott does not tilt at windmills so Puca could go well at a price and is preferred to Cristina's Journey.
