Verdict

Dar Re Mi, Star of Gibraltar and Albarouche are the three against the field in this tricky maiden where there is little form to go on, with Dar Re Mi taken to show the benefit of a promising run as a juvenile. With five winners in the last fortnight, Michael Jarvis has made a fine start to the season, and he saddles Albarouche here. This 2 million Euro daughter of Sadlers Wells comes from the same family as the classy Alborada, and the fact that she is given this early chance in the season looks encouraging. She may be best watched, but the market could be a good guide to her chances as the stable's fancied runners tend to get backed. Having shown promise first time out, Star of Gibraltar ran a good race to be fourth in a decent Newmarket maiden at the end of last season. She can put that experience to good use and play a part here. By Singspiel, Dar Re Mi comes from a good staying family, and there was a lot to like about the way she stayed on to be second on her Newmarket debut. The form has taken several knocks since, but she is well bred, and can come on for the experience that many of her rivals have been denied. Dar Re Mi can come out on top.
