Verdict

Peter Chapple-Hyam's York winner Little Dalham looks well enough treated on his debut in a nursery but the American bred colt may not be so effective on a softer surface and preference is for Mozafin, who gets the vote over King of Blues. The last mentioned is only 2lbs higher than when scoring at Newbury last time but is another that is not certain to be suited by the underfoot conditions. Similar comments apply to Keep Bacckinhit and of more interest may be Sylvester Kirk's Ivana Illyich who showed improved form on a softer surface at Windsor recently. Norcroft has faced a stiff task in his two previous starts in nurseries and may need more assistance from the handicapper in a race that is taken to go to Mozafin. Mick Channon's juveniles are in better form now and the son of Zafonic showed enough at Catterick earlier this month to suggest that he could take a hand off his current mark.
