Ground conditions are ideal and, even based on this year's form alone, PENITENT looks a cut above his rivals in this Listed contest. He was second in a Group 3 at Epsom in May and had placed form at Group 1 level on heavy going last year as well as winning a couple of Group 2 races over this trip. Wentworth steps out of handicap company having won the Betfred Mile at Goodwood following a couple of near-misses. He may still be improving but the selection is a class act on his day. Aesop's Fables won a Group 1 at Chantilly last year but this season's efforts have left much to be desired while this looks too sharp for the filly Bana Wu.
