Verdict

UPPER GROSVENOR showed plenty of early pace in a couple of starts over a mile last season. It's hard to know what to expect after such a long absence but today's opposition is so poor, Roger Varian's colt just might get away with the drop back to 5f. Time For Crabbies' fourth at Wolverhampton in July is the best recent form on offer though he's been well beaten since while Max The Machine managed a second at Southwell last year. South Kenter finished closer over 7f last time and may prove best of the rest.
