Verdict

Western Cape came up against a smart novice at Ascot in January and is interesting here with Kevin Jones able to claim his full allowance. Potters Legend could go well, despite top weight, and makes more appeal than Point The Way, who seeks a four-timer. Two Taffs is preferred to stablemate Robin Of Locksley but may again find one too good. Henry Daly also runs two with Richard Johnson partnering Towcester scorer Flashjack – it's safe to assume he's the stable's pick ahead of the hat-trick seeking Will O'the West. ALCALA (NAP) had little to beat at Fontwell last month but that will have boosted his confidence. He was highly tried at the end of last year and gets in here off a decent mark with Harry Cobden's claim a further plus. Divine Spear still has some scope and could sneak into a place while Wade Harper is another to consider in a typically wide-open renewal.
