Verdict

LORD OF THE ISLAND is on a career-high mark and rising 12 but looked as good as ever when making a winning reappearance over 2m4f here and he’s already scored over course and distance – his yard continues in fine form. Silva Eclipse took advantage of a drop in grade to score at Uttoxeter but is only 3lb higher and a rare runner here for his stable. Eur Gone West ran well on his reappearance last season and won at Exeter and Taunton in the spring while Go Whatever is improving with experience under Rules and a step up in trip will suit. Boyhood is a decent stayer but Flemcara might need this and stablemate Fortunate George has become expensive to follow.
