Verdict

Edwardstone beat the well-regarded Fiddlerontheroof on his hurdles bow at Wincanton and there should be plenty more to come. But the runner-up appeared to find the trip too short and trainer Colin Tizzard now has a line on the winner to assess the chances of HARRY SENIOR. Richard Johnson’s mount almost certainly came up against a smart novice in Sporting John last time at Exeter and gets 6lb from the two previous winners. Champagne Mist beat a subsequent winner in a maiden at Uttoxeter so can’t be ignored while Chance A Tune was beaten under a length by a subsequent winner at Warwick and has bags of scope. Lightening Dance was useful on the Flat but is rather pitched in at the deep end.
