Proxenia and Secret Assassin have both run to a consistent level of form and are bound to be popular with backers but neither is likely to appreciate the cut in the ground and a better bet may be Really Given, who is preferred to Bling and Welsh Dragon. The last mentioned is an interesting contender from Andrew Balding's stable and should improve for his first start and for today's softer ground. He makes more appeal than Gerard Butler's once-raced Hogan's Heroes, who needs to improve on his debut form. A market move for Henry Candy's newcomer Cheney Hill would be of interest, while Royal Devon is likely to need the run as Nerys Dutfield's juveniles usually do. The William Jarvis-trained Bling stepped up on his debut effort last time and has to be considered although he is not certain to go on the ground and a chance is taken with Really Given. Marcus Tregoning's filly has shown promise in two starts but should now improve for tackling a surface more in keeping with her pedigree.
