Verdict

Probably a race for the future here with Familiar Territory, Hawks Home, Dee Day appearing the more likelier suitors and we shall chance the first named. Godolphin's form has been patchy this term but the horses do appear to be running better. A 100000 guineas purchase as a foal - he is related to some high quality USA winners and anything here should be a bonus. Hawks Home looks to be the second string of the Godolphin operation. He is bred to stay and may find this mile on the sharp side. Dee Day gave the impression that there is more to come when finishing close up in a Sandown maiden and is appropriately respected. Daylami Star was entered for the Derby but has shown nothing like the form his breeding would promise. Fire Two finished four lengths behind Emirates Skyline on a first start. That horse disappointed in a Newbury listed race but the fact connections aimed so high suggests that he is decent. Shipmaster was quietly backed ahead of racecourse debut and is better than his Leicester show suggests. Familiar Territory is tentatively recommended in a race that should throw up future winners.
