This won't take much winning and the main contenders should be Top Tenor, Bernard and the enigmatic Triplemoon, with the latter given one last chance to put her head in front for the first time in nearly a year. She has frustrated on more than one occasion this year, but she runs here off her lowest ever mark and is certainly worth one more chance to put matters right. Bernard is sure to be popular as his defeat by the prolific One Off at Haydock has worked out well, with both the winner and the third having been successful since. However, the Handicapper has put him up 5lbs for that effort, which makes things a little more difficult for him. Top Tenor found improvement for the step up to this trip at Salisbury, and the winner Flamenco Bride didn't let the form down when runner-up to a well regarded rival, in a much better contest afterwards. Forever My Lord looks to need a little respite from the Handicapper, but you have to go back over two years for Makarim's last success and even though he is continuing to tumble in the handicap, he looks to have plenty to prove, so Triplemoon, with the strength of Richard Quinn to help, is taken to start making up for lost time.
