Verdict

Highland Castle is the lowest-rated of these but is a course and distance winner and the race is named after a former stable star. Mr Singh won a Group 3 last year but was behind Vive Ma Fille at Goodwood and has become disappointing. Amour de Nuit won over this trip on the all-weather in May but is generally better over further. FUN MAC also stays longer distances but trounced a decent field over track and trip last year. He went on to finish fourth in the Doncaster Cup and third in the Prix Du Cadran and will benefit from not having to run against Group 1 stayers or carry a big weight in a handicap today.
