        Verdict

        A decent sprint handicap with several in-form horses lining up but from a favourable draw, the vote just goes to Domirati ahead of Danehill Stroller and Najeebon. The last mentioned was raised 6lbs by the handicapper for winning at Goodwood last month and struggled off his new mark at Ayr last time. Although Mick Channon's colt may not have been completely at home on the softer surface at the Scottish venue, there is a suspicion that he may now have too much weight. The handicapper has also raised Domirati for a series of creditable efforts. However, they have mainly been over the minimum trip and Roger Charlton's gelding showed that today's trip holds no fears for him when staying on into third place behind Thurlestone Rock at Kempton last time. Berthed in stall 15 of the 18 runners, the three-year-old makes plenty of appeal. The booking of Kieren Fallon for Danehill Stroller, who is in good form at present, obviously takes the eye and he has to be respected, along with the consistent Texas Gold. The latter is also well drawn, as is Peter Cundell's Taranaki, while Ian Wood's lightweight Tapau and Peter Makin's Canterloupe would have come under serious consideration if they had been berthed closer to the far side rail. Domirati has plenty going for him though and looks the one to be on.
