      Verdict

      LYRIC ACE won a couple of minor races in the spring but has been found wanting at a higher level. He tackles this trip for the first time but by the way he was staying on in the Molecombe at Goodwood he'll have no problems with the extra and gets the vote. Deauville Prince won over 7f on soft ground at Haydock then showed good pace in a Listed contest over that trip at Deauville. Botanic Garden scored over 5f at Chester and has been a little outclassed subsequently but Pay Freeze has run well since scoring on fast ground at York in May and enters the equation. Melody Of Love showed the benefit of her opening run on this track with an impressive C&D success and, with progress virtually guaranteed, she should go well with her allowance.
