    Verdict

Recent winner Aleron may go off a warm favourite here but we will take a chance on Stateroom, with Stallone also set to run a good race. James Toller's six-year-old has regressed slightly over the last couple of seasons but is still a capable performer as he showed when landing a similar race to this at Leicester last September. Today's trip and going look ideal and he could win at decent odds. Aleron is an obvious danger as he comes here on the back of a game victory on heavy ground at Newcastle. He appears to be just as effective on any surface and can give the selection plenty to think about. Stallone performed with credit in a class D handicap last time and is one of the best in on official ratings. Opening Ceremony displayed improved form to beat Colway Ritz on her final outing last season and is another to consider, but Stateroom does appear to have everything in his favour today and is taken to oblige.
