In depth

Verdict

A really tough handicap where a chance is taken with Fitting Guest after the three-year-old posted a good effort in defeat at Beverley last time and his style of running should lend itself well to this course if he can gain an early advantage. The likes of Always Flying, Redi and Dispol Veleta are all capable of playing a hand as things unfold and are worthy of consideration if they attract any interest in the betting ring. While Biscar Two arrives here in good form and can make his presence felt if he builds on his effort in a seller at Nottingham last time. However, Fitting Guest makes slightly more appeal at the likely prices as he could still have a fair bit to offer from a mark of just 65. The son of Grand Lodge has already proved that this trip is absolutely no problem for him and he may be hard to get past if he is allowed to dominate today. Always Flying is respected on the best of his form and is the best alternative as he has gone well here in the past. However, his latest effort left plenty to be desired and he is also taken on with Fitting Guest this afternoon.
