Verdict

A bad race can go to Rehia, who is selected in preference to Scooby Dooby Do and Vaudevire, who are forwarded as the best of the reminder; assuming that they consent to run up to their best. The last named does have a bit to find on the official ratings for the race but was not beaten far in similar company at Musselburgh when he was last seen out. A similar effort entitles him to be in the shake-up here and he is no forlorn hope to reach the frame. Scoby Dooby Do was found out in a much stronger maiden last time and should appreciate the ease in grade, while Barras returns to a more appropriate trip and could also go close if he handles this faster ground. The doubts about the reminder make it hard to make a solid case for any of them and even a market move for Bank Games would not convince that there is imminent improvement forthcoming from Mick Easterby's charge. Therefore, the selection process brings us back to Rehia, whose latest start looks head and shoulders above the standard presented by the rest and he need only run up to that level to hold this modest bunch today.
