Frankelio scored at Pontefract in June and looked to have a big chance back there the following month but probably found the ground too quick. HOW BIZARRE has been running well and led for a long way over Beverley's stiff extended mile last month when the favourite Dawn Breaking was a length behind and Ventura Gold a similar distance back. John Clare has failed to win since his only victory at Leicester almost two years ago though has gone close several times while Absolute Dream ran well at Redcar in July and is looking on a fair mark these days. Challet had shown potential as a two-year-old and found a mile to his liking in a Thirsk handicap at the end of July. Always up with the pace, he led at the furlong pole and stayed on strongly though he's up 6lb in this slightly better race. The lightly-raced Magic Voice was well supported at Haydock but found the going too fast.
