Verdict

This is generally a tough handicap though Danadana managed to win it at 5/4 for Luca Cumani last year and he's represented by Gabrial The Great here. A winner at Haydock in July, he ran in some strong handicaps later and off a 4lb higher mark is no forlorn hope. It's hard to know what to make of Toruk Macto, a dual Listed winner in Turkey, as he makes his UK debut but ESHTIBAAK ran so well behind Sir John Hawkwood at Chester, which obviously didn't suit him, that he looks the one to be on. This could be the trip for Silver Lime, who has just come up short over 1m4f, while Tahaamah, a winner at Meydan in March, didn't quite get home over 1m4f at Ascot last time. Clon Brulee is a smart performer over this trip and a 6lb penalty for his very easy victory at Ripon is unlikely to prevent another big effort. It's difficult to rule out any of the remainder in what should be a cracking handicap.
