Verdict

John Dunlop seems to hitting a purple patch following a spell in the doldrums and so Benhavis is fancied to break his duck at the main expense of Tamasou and Carnival Queen. The selection has shaped with plenty of promise on his five starts to date and connections will be hoping to land a maiden as handicaps don't appear to be too feasible with this mark of 80 looking too high. Seb Sanders will be keen to gain another victory in his quest for the Jockey's Championship and proven on any ground, he is fancied to win. Tamasou was a good second on debut at Newcastle when starting at a price of 50/1 but with improvement likely to come he cannot be ruled out this afternoon. Full Speed catches the eye after a good effort last time out, whilst Three Gold Leaves comes from a stable capable of readying a newcomer and the market may well help. Carnival Queen ran well on her second start at the course but then disappointed at Lingfield. She is no stable star but it would be folly to rule out improvement this afternoon now stepped up in trip. At a price Bouggler could run into a place, however it is Benhavis who looks the one to beat.
