Verdict

Not a race to throw the kitchen sink at but GREELEY BRIGHT is unexposed and has run well here before; she is preferred to Star Twilight and Fine Silk. James Given's Mr Greeley filly was poor at Beverley last time but she didn't seem to relish the stiff seven furlongs there. Dropped two furlongs in trip she looks likely to run well off this mark of 62 at a track she has run well at before. Final Ovation has been in solid form in at plating level this year, Bronze Beau is racing off a career-low mark as he returns to handicaps with cheek-pieces applied, whilst Fine Silk's fourth to Avrilo is solid form in the context of this race. Loss Leader put in his best run last time out at Catterick over this trip but his reassessed mark is 9lbs higher, blinkers need to have a miraculous effect on Kirkby's Gem, whilst Reddy To Star is out of form but ready to strike from a handicapping point of view if taking to the first-time cheek-pieces. The market should be informative in this finale but without that information we will plump for Greeley Bright.
