        Verdict

Plenty of deadwood in this maiden however Luc Jordan, Proud Times, Expressive and KAMMAAN all have some good form to their names and it is the last-named who is narrowly preferred. The selection was too keen and fresh when weakening into a well-held fifth on her latest start at Wolverhampton. She should come on markedly for that run however and assuming she settles better, the step up in trip should suit this filly and she can come out on top. Proud Times is rated 79 and has been perhaps a tad unlucky not to have won so far; the quicker ground here won't be a problem and he needs respect, as does Luc Jordan who Joe Fanning rides. He only lost out in a photograph at Chepstow and he is still open to more improvement. Cipher needs to step up on his first start over six furlongs here but he is bred to, whilst Expressive is a Falbrav filly and the step up to a mile should suit this half-sister to the wonderful Echelon. The only other horse of note looks to be Quiquillo; Henry Cecil's horses are running well and although she needs to improve, this US-bred filly is the only horse that he brings up to the meeting. This can be whittled down to just a few proper contenders, of which we come down on the side of Kammaan.
